Lived Experience Experts Panel reflects after a year together

It has been a very busy and productive year for the Lived Experience Panel (LEE) which was set up in June 2025, in partnership with Your Own Place, to enable those, who have
experienced hardship and hunger, to be able to speak up in a safe place.

The panel began with a series of 1:1s and small group listening sessions to hear about the factors causing hunger and hardship.

Once we had completed several listening sessions, we met monthly to discuss common themes and codesign three projects:

Along the journey, the LEE’s met with an MP, Norfolk County Council and representatives from the Norfolk Community Advice Network to share their views about the issues causing hunger and hardship across Norfolk.

We were also grateful to receive a nomination and commendation at the Norfolk and Suffolk Health Expo Awards for Partnership and Communities.
The next year, we aim to develop our projects and meet more decision makers to influence change together.
