Volunteer

Volunteers are the life blood of foodbanks. Your skills could be just what we need.

Volunteers are the lifeblood of Norwich Foodbank, giving you the opportunity to contribute to the community in a warm and friendly environment. Our amazing volunteers perform a variety of volunteering roles including: working in the warehouse, distributing food boxes and assisting clients at our 11 Distribution Centres, driving, and supermarket collections.

At Norwich food bank we are extremely blessed with the number of volunteers but we are always looking for new volunteers. (unfortunately we currently only have opportunities for over 18s)

Currently we are looking for:

  1. Volunteer to help at Alive Distribution Centre (Nelson Street) on a Friday between 9.30am and 12pm. The role will involve talking to clients and distributing food boxes and toiletries to clients. This role does involve lifting boxes.
  2. Volunteer to deliver food boxes to Alive Church on a Friday morning at 9am. The role will involve collecting the food boxes and extras from our Ivy road warehouse and delivering boxes to Alive Church. (Business insurance and a large vehicle required, mileage can be reimbursed)

Full induction and training will be given prior to starting all roles.

Please complete the Norwich Foodbank Application Form and we’ll contact you to talk about the roles available as soon as we have received references.

If you have any questions, please call the office on 0300 3651123 or email [email protected]
