Other food services
Foodbanks, Social Supermarkets and Community Fridges – Which is best for me?
It can be hard to know what the best option is sometimes, especially if you are unfamiliar with the services that are available.
Norwich Foodbank
Here for when people are in crisis. With a referral, you'll receive an emergency food parcel. We do our best to meet any dietary needs. We are unable to accept food past its best before date. Compassionate, discreet, free and always accompanied by support for your circumstances.
Social Supermarkets
Open to those on a low income and who also live in specific postcodes. Most can accept food past its best before date. For a small membership fee, you can shop for discounted groceries, toiletries and essentials.
Community Fridges
Free and open to everyone (some postcodes dependant). Take what you need or share what you can. Most accept food past its best before date. A great way to reduce food waste and connect with others.
